Katie Taylor vs Amanda Serrano Betting Tips

Katie Taylor vs Amanda Serrano Betting Tips

There’s a huge showdown for the undisputed women’s super-lightweight when Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano clash for the second time in the early hours of Saturday morning.

The bout is part of a Texas bill, which also features the clash between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson but the showdown between KT and the Real Deal promises to be the highlight of the AT&T Stadium action.

The Bray Bomber was awarded a narrow split-decision verdict when taking on Serrano in 2022, but that was a fight that could have gone either way and it would be no surprise to see the Puerto Rican turn the tables in Texas.

Real Deal Can Thrill In Texas

Serrano has contested 50 professional bouts in a long-stand career and there are just two defeats on the Real Deal’s card.

The muilt-weight world champion lost to Frida Wallberg way back in 2012 and the defeat to Taylor two years ago is the only other reversal on the Puerto Rican’s record.

KT was awarded a split-decision verdict in the first fight between the top-level duo at Madison Square Gardens in 2022, but that appeared a hugely harsh result on Serrano.

The Real Deal seemed to have done enough to down the Bray Bomber, but that wasn’t how the judges scored the fight and the Irishwoman was given the decision.

Since that bout, Taylor has been beaten by Chantelle Cameron, defeated Il Capo in the rematch and also secured a points success over Karen Carabajal.

KT has been a fantastic fighter, who has enjoyed a superb career and it’s difficult to doubt the credentials of the undisputed and lineal world lightweight champion and a four-belt super-lightweight queen.

However, the Bray Bomber is now 38-years-old, a veteran of 24 professional contests and 189 amateur bouts and the sun may just be setting on a wonderful career.

Taylor has been out of action for 12 months since her rematch success over Cameron, and while the 38-year-old won her belts back in that bout, it wasn’t a dazzling performance.

It’s another big ask for KT to put in what will need to be an elite-level performance following two grueling bouts against II Capo and now off a year of inactivity.

Serrano could be the fresher, sharper and better fighter this weekend and the Real Deal looks a bet to turn the tables on Taylor.

Serrano Heading For Stoppage Success

Taylor has many attributes, but power has never been one of them and if time is catching up with the 38-year-old she could be exposed in other areas.

Heavy hitting is useful when looking for knockouts and to hurt opponents, but it’s also a deterrent in the face of attacks.

Serrano knows that KT doesn’t have the punch strength to keep the Real Deal from advancing and if the Bray Bomber’s speed, skill and durability has been blunted by age it could be a tough night for the Irishwoman.

Serrano could dominate the Texas tussle and if that is the case it’s not a big price that the Puerto Rican claims a stoppage victory at the AT&T Stadium.
