On a recent earnings call, Bally’s Corporation CEO Robeson Reeves said that the company is aiming to launch its popular sports betting product, Bally Bet, in Q4 of this year. This was announced alongside other plans for the operator to continue to expand in the United States.
A Popular Casino
Bally’s Corporation was one of the first operators to make its mark in Canada, with Bally’s Casino being launched in the province just three months after it opened its door to regulated providers.
The casino has been a huge success, performing well commercially and being well-respected among Ontario residents. The company opted not to launch the sportsbook at the time, choosing to focus its efforts on growing its casino presence.
However, it now looks as though the province is back in Bally’s sights, though the company did not lay out a timeline for when the launch will take place.
A Strong Year
During the call, Reeves confirmed that Bally’s has plans to launch Bally Bet in four more US states by the end of the year. It has been a strong year for the company so far, with them posting Q2 North American revenue of $49.2 million, a significant increase on the same period in 2023, when they posted $25.3 million.
This performance was credited to the casino sites doing well in key states like New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Rhode Island. Plans are now in place for it to launch in Illinois, Tennessee, and New Jersey.
Expansion is the name of the game in the final quarter of 2024, as Bally’s looks to improve its market share in North America. In the call, Reeves said “We expect to launch sports in an additional four states in the second half of the year and continue to plant the seeds for an expanded iGaming across our geographies.”
