Leading online gambling operator PENN Entertainment has launched a brand-new online casino app in Ontario, theScore Casino. The app launched in the province on April 7th and promises to provide players with a unique and exciting online casino experience.
PENN’s theScore brand, as its name might suggest, is typically associated with its high-quality sportsbook offering. However, the brand also operates an online casino on the same platform, and it has shifted its focus to this for the launch of theScore app in Ontario.
theScore Casino app will be free to download for players in the province on Apple and Android devices. It features a huge selection of high-quality online casino games, including slots, table games, and industry-leading live casino content. There will also be a range of exclusive titles on the app, including Blue Jays Blackjack, which is part of an exclusive partnership with the Toronto Blue Jays.
Customers who are already signed up with theScore Casino in Ontario will be able to sign-in using their existing credentials.
An Exciting Launch
PENN expressed its excitement about the launch of the app. Chief Technology Officer and Head of Interactive, Aaron LaBerge, said “We’re excited to introduce our dedicated iCasino product in Ontario under the well-known and trusted theScore brand,”.
LaBerge went on to emphasise the popularity of iGaming in Ontario, saying, “We’ve built a strong online gaming foothold in the Ontario market and are primed to deliver an even better casino experience with our proven standalone app.”
Online casino play is by far the most popular vertical in Ontario, with the vertical making up 85% of all regulated online gambling in the province. For comparison, in February this year, online sports betting generated $62 million, while online casino made $214 million.
