Industry-leading online slot developer Play’n Go has demonstrated its commitment to responsible gambling in Canada by joining the Canadian Gaming Association. The provider is currently active in Ontario and Quebec.
Commitment to Responsible Gambling
The Canadian Gaming Association is committed to ensuring responsible gambling standards are maintained across the country's iGaming industry. It has been in business for over 20 years and has over 70 members, including leading operators and suppliers.
This move comes just a few weeks after Play’n Go published its first official sustainability report for 2023. The report highlighted the company’s commitment to responsible gambling practices, with safer gambling training sessions being held for employees and the company also set the goal of retaining its GamCare Safer Gambling Gold Standard reward, with the aim being to have 90% of its employees pass the safe gambling training goals by the end of the year.
Play'n Go's focus on the Canadian market in 2024 is evident in its recent partnership with Loto–Québec. This significant collaboration will make Play'n Go's products available to residents in the province for the first time, demonstrating the company's dedication to expanding its reach in the Canadian market.
Shared Goals
In a press release, Saam Hafezi, Head of Region, North America at Play’n GO, said that Play’n Go has long advocated for a safer gambling industry and is proud to have partnered with a respected organisation like the CGA.
He added, “We look forward to collaborating with fellow stakeholders within the Association to achieve a brighter, more sustainable future for us all, and we thank the CGA for accepting our membership application.”
Paul Burns, President and CEO of the CGA, echoed these sentiments, saying that the CGA was happy to welcome Play’n Go and that the two companies' goals are perfectly aligned.
