Luton’s rearranged trip to Bournemouth takes place on Wednesday and the Hatters should be going all guns blazing to gain a victory that would take them out of the Premier League’s bottom three.

The game takes place after the original fixture was abandoned when Luton skipper Tom Lockyer suffered a cardiac arrest and the Cherries will want to be on the ball after securing a point against another struggler, Sheffield United, with a late goal on Saturday.

  • Luton or draw double chance
  • Over 3.5 Goals
  • Dominic Solanke to score at anytime

Hatters Shouldn't Be Ruled Out

Luton have won just one of their last nine Premier League matches, but their only defeat in their last five league games on the road came at Liverpool, so they should not fear a trip to the Vitality.

Rob Edwards’ side had Cauley Woodrow’s late goal to thank for their 1-1 draw at Crystal Palace on Saturday and that should give the visitors plenty of confidence that they can get something from their trip to the south coast.

Bournemouth were flying towards the end of 2023, but they have become stuck in a rut since, winning just once in nine games and allowing struggling Sheffield United to take a two-goal lead before grabbing a late point on Saturday.

The Hatters look to be making a real push to stay up and the Cherries, who have won just one of their last six at home in the league could be vulnerable, so backing Luton on the double-chance market could prove a profitable move.

LUTON DRAW OR DOUBLE CHANCE

Goals Look Likely

Bournemouth fans were treated to an entertaining clash with the Blades on Saturday and it could be a similar story when Luton head to town on Wednesday.

Andoni Iraola’s side have kept just two clean sheets in their last 10 home matches, while Luton have failed to find the net in just one of their last ten on the road.

The Hatters have been at their best this season when they have adopted a positive attitude, giving more than one of the top sides a real scare, so they look unlikely to hold back.

Seven of their last ten league games have featured at least four goals and this match could follow that pattern.

OVER 3.5 GOALS

Solanke Still Has An Eye For Goal

While Luton should push forward, Bournemouth can still contribute to the scoring and Dominic Solanke remains their chief goal threat.

The former Liverpool striker was unfortunate not to find the net against the Blades, slipping when he ballooned a penalty over the bar and also seeing an effort disallowed with his team 2-0 down, so he has clearly not forgotten where the goal is.

Solanke scored in the original fixture before the abandonment and this looks a good chance for him to get back among the goals after three blanks.
