Wednesday sees the final two of 16 Champions League second legs take place, with both remaining ties finely poised going into crunch battles in Germany and Spain.

Borussia Dortmund and PSV are all square at 1-1 after a captivating encounter in Eindhoven, with Donyell Malen scoring against his former employers for the German side, while Inter Milan hold a slender one goal advantage going into their return leg at Atletico Madrid.

Dortmund Can Edge The Dutch

Strikes from PSV captain Luuk de Jong and Dortmund star Donyell Malen saw an entertaining first leg end a goal apiece and another exciting encounter could be in store on Wednesday evening.

Dortmund have lost just one of their last 13 games in all competitions and went unbeaten at the Signal Iduna Park in Group F - dubbed the “Group of Death” - with draws against PSG and AC Milan as well as a 2-0 victory over Newcastle.

PSV, meanwhile, are flying at the top of the Eredivisie, winning 22 of their 25 league games and losing none, while they have also won eight of their last eleven games on the road.

However, their only defeats in all competitions this campaign have come away from the Philips Stadion, with one of these coming in the group stages at Arsenal on Matchday 1.

This may give Dortmund the required confidence to edge out this PSV side and, with eight of their last nine at home seeing both sides find the back of the net, there could be plenty of goals in this second leg encounter.

BORUSSIA DORTMUND TO WIN AND BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE

Stalemate Could See Nerazzurri Progress

Former Stoke and West Ham striker Marko Arnautovic scored the sole goal in the first leg for Inter Milan, giving the runaway Serie A leaders a minimal advantage heading into their battle at the Metropolitano.

And while victory might be a tall order on the night - Atleti have lost just one game at home all season in all competitions, winning 17 of their 20 home matches - the Nerazzurri could have enough to hold onto a draw which would see them qualify for the next round.

Inter are a force to be reckoned with this season as Simone Inzaghi’s men have lost none of their 14 away fixtures in Serie A - conceding just six goals throughout this streak - while they also went unbeaten in trips to Real Sociedad, Salzburg and Benfica in the group stage.

Despite looking strong at their Metropolitano home, Atleti go into this second leg in a relatively poor run of form, with Diego Simeone’s losing five of their last eight games in all competitions. This run also includes a 2-2 draw with La Liga’s bottom side Almeria, who had picked up just eight points all season up until that fixture.

With Atleti stuttering, and Inter looking rigid defensively, this could be a tight, low-scoring encounter and Inter could be able to come away from the Spanish capital with a valuable draw.
