However, due to Cleveland’s low average monthly income of $4,689.11 (US $3,366.41), it ranks third on our list.

Methodology
We used the official websites of each team in the NBA, the NFL, the MLB, the NHL, and the WNBA to get the cost of a jersey. Where prices differ between player names, we took the cost of the first-appearing player name jersey listed on each online shop. We did not include sale prices or shipping costs.
For the NBA, we took the retail price for an Icon Swingman Jersey Fan version with a player's name on the back.
For the NFL, we used the retail price for a men’s home game jersey with a player's name on the back.
For the MLB, we used the retail price for a Men’s Blank Official Replica Jersey. In the instances where a price range was shown, we collected the most expensive cost for our data.
For the NHL, we used the retail price for a men’s Fanatics Breakaway jersey.
For the WNBA, we used the retail price for a unisex victory player jersey. Connecticut Sun was removed from the data due to missing salary data.
Data for jerseys is accurate as of 06.11.2024.
For all USD to CAD conversions, we used Xe. These were converted at 10:30 on 11.11.2024 and are correct as of then.
We used Numbeo to get the average monthly net salary after tax. This data was collected on 07.11.2024.
