Villans Fancied To Win Entertaining Affair
Ange Postecoglou stated that his team always win trophies in his second season at a club earlier in the campaign, but Tottenham are way out of Premier League contention and in recent days were dumped out of the EFL Cup.
That means the FA Cup and Europa League are their two remaining chances at silverware and Spurs may fall at this hurdle in the former.
Postecoglou’s side remained plagued by injuries, with 11 first-team players either a doubt or officially ruled out of this clash.
They also face a Villa side who have been freshened up by the arrival of Marco Asensio, Marcus Rashford and Donyell Malen.
Unai Emery’s side have lost only two of their 18 home games in all competitions and have produced victories over Bayern Munich, Manchester City and Bologna at Villa Park this term.
Both teams have scored in six of Villa’s last nine games and, given the end-to-end nature of Tottenham’s play, the same is fancied on Sunday evening.
Spurs’ injury issues may again be their downfall and Villa are fancied to win this game to ramp up the pressure even further on Postecoglou.

Rashford Could Have Dream Debut
Marcus Rashford has completed a loan move to Aston Villa after the transfer saga that lingered on at Manchester United.
The forward is available for this clash as he did not feature in Manchester United’s FA Cup third-round win over Arsenal.
Ollie Watkins is a doubt so Rashford could be in from the start and is fancied to mark his debut in the best possible style with a goal.

Bissouma May Fall Foul Of Referee
Tottenham’s problems with possession often mean their midfield is left wide open, with the result that Yves Bissouma, for example, can be vulnerable in open spaces.
As a result, the former Brighton player has been shown nine yellow cards in all competitions this term and looks a big runner to pick up another booking on Sunday against a tricky Villa side whose midfield is combative.
