Driving Style
Stroll is still early in his F1 racing career, making his debut in 2017 with Team Williams. He joined Team Racing Point in 2019 before being renamed Aston Martin in 2021.
While only in his ninth season, Stroll has proven he can perform well in rainy conditions. This was shown when he became the second youngest driver to start a race and to score a podium finish at the 2017 Australian Grand Prix, despite poor weather conditions.
In addition to being able to perform in the rain, Stroll is also an aggressive driver while on the track. He is not afraid to take places, which could be beneficial for him this season. Of course, a lot of Stroll’s success could depend on the car he is given by Aston Martin. For him to be truly successful, he needs to especially perform well in qualifying to give himself the chance to pick up points each week.
Team Aston Martin
As mentioned, Stroll is part of Team Aston Martin, previously known as Racing Point. His teammate is Fernando Alonso, a long-time veteran of F1 racing who is looking to prove he can still compete at the highest level.
In 2024, Aston Martin was subpar, finishing in 5th out of 10 teams. They scored just 94 points combined (70 by Alonso and 24 by Stroll). Both Alonso and Stroll will be looking to improve in 2025 and have high hopes of finishing inside the top four in the Constructors Championship.
Best Futures Bets for Lance Stroll
Our best bet this season for Stroll will be for him to win a race. While Stroll has never won in F1, he has been close before with three career podiums. Additionally, he has the 3rd most points without a win, so it feels like he is due for one.
Plus, given the chaotic nature of F1 racing due to weather and potential crashes or penalties from other teams/racers, Stroll could break through this season with his maiden victory.
