Bet On The Premier League

Newcastle vs Bournemouth

Newcastle fans are in raptures at the moment, having watched their side win nine consecutive games in all competitions, and some of the Toon Army are even billing the Magpies as Premier League title contenders.

A routine 3-0 success over Wolves on Wednesday night has propelled Newcastle to fourth in the Premier League table and Eddie Howe's men will be hunting three points against Bournemouth on Saturday. Expect a positive approach from the off.

Newcastle striker Alexander Isak is looking like one of the most dangerous forwards in the division. He scored a brace against Wolves and can rely on excellent supply from the likes of Anthony Gordon, who also got on the scoresheet at St James' Park on Wednesday.

Bournemouth may struggle to contain their hosts in the lunchtime fixture, but the Cherries will fancy their chances of getting among the goals after they managed to score twice at Chelsea in their last road outing.

Andoni Iraoloa’s side, who are unbeaten in their last 10 fixtures in all competitions, have scored 15 goals in their last six away games. Expect both teams to net on Tyneside.

BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE

West Ham vs Crystal Palace

West Ham are adjusting to life under a new manager - and the Graham Potter era has started well. A 3-2 London derby success against Fulham on Tuesday night has revived Hammers followers, who had lost faith in former boss Julen Lopetegui.

West Ham supporters will pack out the London Stadium on Saturday in expectation of another derby triumph, but Crystal Palace will probably be a tough nut to crack and the safest investment is arguably in a draw.

Palace have got their tails up, having beaten Leicester 2-0 at the King Power Stadium on Wednesday night. That crucial victory has eased some of the relegation fears around Selhurst Park and taking something from West Ham will be the fresh objective.

Palace have gone five games unbeaten in all competitions, winning three of those contests, and the Eagles make the short journey to West Ham having kept a clean sheet in their last two away matches.

A draw would not be a bad result for either side - keeping them both well clear of the drop zone - and a stalemate could be on the cards.

DRAW

Brentford vs Liverpool

The first chinks in the armour of Liverpool have been seen in recent outings, with failure to beat Manchester United at Anfield followed by a League Cup semi-final, first-leg defeat at Tottenham and a Premier League draw at Nottingham Forest.

Arne Slot's first season as Liverpool chief could not have been going much better, but the Dutchman is facing some adversity for the first time in his reign. Expect Brentford to further add to Slot's woe by getting on the scoresheet at the Gtech Community Stadium.

Both teams to score looks a solid bet given how prolific Brentford have been at home this season. No team in the Premier League has scored more home goals this term than the Bees, who have thrilled their supporters 29 times.

Liverpool are unbeaten away from home in the league this term and have scored more goals on the road than any other team in the division. Brentford away could prove a tough trip for the Premier League pacesetters, though, and a high-scoring affair seems likely.

BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE

Leicester vs Fulham

Leicester fans are fearing the worst and a return to the Championship is looking more likely than it has all season long. Ruud van Nistelrooy's appointment was a gamble, which may not pay off in the short-term.

Van Nistelrooy, a prolific goalscorer for Manchester United in his playing days, has brought an attacking instinct to Leicester. His team fired six goals past QPR in an FA Cup third-round victory last Saturday. The defence, though, remains extremely leaky.

Leicester have conceded 46 goals this season and have lost their last six league games. Expect Fulham to add to Leicester's woes on Saturday.

The Cottagers saw their nine-game unbeaten run ended by a surprise defeat to West Ham on Tuesday. Fulham dominated possession, but gifted their hosts two goals with careless defensive blunders.

Fulham manager Marco Silva would have read the riot act to his defenders after those careless errors. His team has been generally excellent lately and should get back to winning ways on Saturday.

FULHAM TO WIN

Arsenal vs Aston Villa

Coming back from 1-0 down to defeat rivals Tottenham on Wednesday night was a huge result for Arsenal - and the Gunners can be expected to build on that confidence boost by claiming another three points on Saturday.

Arsenal host Aston Villa, who have lost much of their early-season consistency. While the Gunners have moved back to second in the Premier League, looking the main title threats to Liverpool, the Villans have lost five away games and have dropped to seventh place going into this set of fixtures.

Arsenal are unbeaten in the league at home this season and have conceded just seven goals. That matches Bournemouth as the best home defence in the division.

Villa have lost five of their last six Premier League away matches and seem ill-equipped to handle a trip to top-class, confident opposition.
