How to Play Quantum Blackjack Plus

Quantum-Blackjack-Plus

Quantum Blackjack Plus uses 6 decks of 52 cards each, and there’s no limit on the number of players who can take part.

The aim is to get the value of your hand nearer to 21 than the dealer’s. You can create various hands to win, but if your cards add up to more than 21, you’re bust.

To start playing, you should place your main bet and any of the optional side bets you want to use. Once all bets are set, three or five special cards are picked from one deck of cards randomly. A random multiplier is revealed and combined with these random cards to make multiplier cards. The multipliers available are x2.5, x3, x5, or x10.

The dealer then issues four standard cards: the first and third to the player (both face-up), the second and fourth to the dealer themselves (one face-up, one face-down). If the dealer’s initial hand features an ace, you have the option to insure your hand against the dealer getting blackjack.

Next, you decide whether to hit, stand, double, or split based on the quality of your hand. You automatically stand if you don’t perform an action.

Finally, the dealer starts to draw cards. They stand on soft 17. If you beat the dealer and have one or more multiplier cards in your hand, your payout is multiplied by the relevant value. However, if all players at the table bust, the round ends and the dealer draws no more cards.

Different Quantum Blackjack Plus Games

Alongside Playtech’s live Quantum Blackjack Plus game, you can also try your hand at the Quantum Blackjack Plus Instant Play version.

This is similar, but it’s not live. You can win up to x1,500, with multiplier cards awarding as much as x1,000. The same side bets are available, though, and it’s simple to play.

Quantum Blackjack Plus Features & Side Bets

Quantum Blackjack Plus includes multiplier cards (that can enhance the payouts available) and side bets. You can place either of the side bets alongside the main bet, but not without the main bet. Neither side bet is affected by the multipliers.

Multiplier Cards

Multiplier cards increase the payout of the main bet, but affect player prizes only — never the dealer’s. Payouts are awarded if two or more of the cards in your current hand match the value and suit of the multiplier cards shown. If you have more than one multiplier card in your hand, they’re combined to determine the final payout.

If you get blackjack while you have a multiplier card in your hand, your payout is affected by both the blackjack payout and the relevant multiplier. However, your initial bet isn’t returned. Insurance is unaffected by multiplier cards.

21+3

The 21+3 side bet lets you wager that the first two cards you receive, and the first card dealt to the dealer, will combine to make one of five three-card poker hands. These are:

  • Suited Three of a Kind
  • Straight Flush
  • Three of a Kind
  • Straight
  • Flush

The 21+3 side bet has a 95.38% RTP.

Pairs

You can make four Pairs side bets:

  • Player’s Pair — the player’s first two cards are Perfect Pairs, Red/Black Pair, or Coloured Pair
  • Perfect Pairs — the player’s first two cards make a same-suit pair
  • Coloured Pair — the player’s first two cards make a pair of the same colour but different suit
  • Red/Black Pair — the player’s first two cards make a pair with different colours and suits

The Pairs side bets have a 93.89% RTP.

Quantum Blackjack Plus Final Thoughts

Quantum Blackjack Plus is a dynamic, distinctive take on classic blackjack. It’s easy to pick up and play, with a brisk flow and a user-friendly design.

The multiplier cards can increase the size of your payouts well, as can the side bets (though their RTPs are lower than the main RTP). However, the payouts on offer are still smaller than those in many other live games.

If you’re looking for a fresh approach to live blackjack with some interesting elements, you could do a lot worse than Quantum Blackjack Plus.
