One of the more unusual features of the game is the Progressive Bonus Pots. Each standard symbol on the reels has a bonus pot meter, which is gradually filled up each time you land a five of a kind win with that symbol. Fill up the meter and you’ll win the corresponding prize. The game has an RTP of 95.89% and a maximum win of £25,000,000 (yes, that’s £25 million!). The 7s Wild Gold slot has a bright, retro design inspired by classic fruit machine slots that you might find in pubs or land-based casinos. Symbols include glistening plums, oranges and cherries, as well as a BAR symbol, a gold bell and a Lucky Seven.
Unlike most modern slots, 7s Wild Gold doesn’t have a soundtrack as such, and unless you are spinning the reels there is no background noise. When the reels do spin some twinkly sound effects kick in, and I assume that the minimal audio effects are a nod to the early fruit machines that this slot is inspired by.

7s Wild Gold is one for the slots purists out there. Its classic fruity theme certainly wouldn’t look out of place on a pub slot machine, and even the sound effects are minimal. The Progressive Bonus Pots feature is interesting since it is one I haven’t seen before, but the chances of actually winning one seem pretty slim.
The RTP of 95.89% is decent, although it would have been nice to see it pushed to at least 96%. The maximum win of £25,000,000 is something we don’t see very often in the slots world, and it may attract some players to this game.
IGT has done a good job of producing a fairly standard slot game, with a couple of free spins rounds to add interest. However, in my opinion this simplistic type of slot is just a little too bland to compete with other slots that are more dynamic and engaging.
When all is said and done, 7s Wild Gold is a fairly average slot game that is designed for those looking for a nostalgic slot machine experience.
