Big Sugar Bonanza is a cluster slot with a couple of bonus features. First off is the random multiplier, which can be triggered by any random spin. Next is the free spins round, which you can activate by landing at least 3 scatters on the grid. Let’s look at each of these features in order right here.

Mystery Multiplier

Any random spin can see the Fluffikin character add a multiplier to the grid. This multiplier can range in size from 1x1 all the way up to 7x7, but starts with no value attached. However, if you get a winning combination on top of this mystery multiplier then it will reveal a value of 2x, 4x, 8x, 16x, 32x, 64x, 128x, 256x, or 512x. This multiplier will be applied to all winning combinations that take place on top of the Mystery Multiplier symbol.

Land 3, 4, 5, 6 or 7 scatters anywhere on the grid to receive 10, 12, 15, 20, or 30 free spins respectively. During this round a 1x1 size Mystery Multiplier will appear in a random position on the grid. This will move to a random position on the grid with each free spin. Land 2 scatters during this round and you will receive +1 free spin and the Mystery Multiplier symbol will grow in size.

Big Sugar Bonanza is a fine enough take on the popular sweet-themed cluster slot genre, if one that fails to do anything particularly innovative. The one exception is the Mystery Multiplier although, as one might expect from a highly volatile slot, it more often than not fails to boost that spin’s actual wins. Other than that, the slot has a perfectly standard cascade mechanic paired with a regular free spins round, not to mention the odd omission of a wild from the symbol lineup. 

As such, our verdict of Big Sugar Bonanza is that, again, it’s just fine enough. The gameplay follows a tried and tested formula that should tickle the taste buds of cluster slot fans, but it should prove fun for a few spins. Whether it actually has any staying power ultimately depends on your tastes for both candy, high volatility, and a 96.01% RTP.
