Dam Beavers is a highly detailed slot game with great graphics. The game opens in the beavers’ underground burrow, which looks pretty cosy. There is a sofa, a rug and a pot of strawberries (the most valuable fruit symbol in the game), and on the grid you will see beavers and various fruits.
You can progress through different levels in the game by randomly finding ‘breaking points’ in the floorboards. One of my favourite things about this game is the Beaver Night Fever feature, which can be triggered randomly after clearing all the floorboards in a level. In this feature the grid takes on a disco style, and the beavers even start dancing with 70s-style flares on!
The soundtrack is interesting, with a blend of the sound of running water, twanging country music, and occasionally a man muttering ‘Damn beavers!’ Although I found the audio a little irritating after a while, it is easy enough to turn off from within the game screen.
The symbols on the grid are made up of different pieces of fruit. However, there is a symbol upgrade feature in this game (triggered by the firework symbol) that can upgrade the symbols up to eight times to increase their value. As the value of the symbols increases, they turn into gemstones.
