Dragon Maiden is set in a fantastical world featuring (you guessed it) dragons, and the developers have brought the setting to life nicely with smooth, crisp graphics. The Dragon looks particularly terrific when it soars across the screen at the start of the Golden Free Spins feature, for example, and the fire animations are impressive.
The background scene is peaceful and wintery in the base game: snow drifts down around the reels, and a dragon flies back and forth in the far distance. But the environment becomes smouldering and fiery in the Free Spins round as the dragon’s power is unleashed. The music is pretty standard fantasy fare in the base game, but becomes epic during the bonus features.

Dragon Maiden Final Thoughts
Dragon Maiden gets a lot of things right. The visuals are nice, with fluid animations and a fantastic dragon that makes the game more exciting whenever it appears. But Dragon Maiden really shines in its bonuses.
The Re-Spin, Free Spins, and Golden Free Spins features all bring extra depth to the gameplay. The latter, in particular, is impressive, with a fully expanded grid and thousands of ways to win. It is a shame that the basic symbol values are so low, but I managed to build some decent winnings during the Golden Free Spins round (though nowhere near the 5,000x max).
All in all, Dragon Maiden is a well-designed slot that brings more to the table than meets the eye and may surprise you.
