First up, we have the Dive mode that you can trigger by getting five dive helmet symbols. This is the Scatter symbol. You get nine free spins, during which a new symbol (a blue eye) can substitute for all symbols except the Scatter. Before you enter this mode, the background also moves so that you feel you are actually diving deeper. This is a nice touch.

There are nine types of treasures you can dig up here ranging from £0.2 to £30. Conquer the Kraken (Bonus Game)

Your task is to defeat the Kraken by launching torpedoes at its tentacles. The multipliers and cash prizes depend on which tentacles/treasures you hit. Target any three of these tentacles to reclaim the treasures. Some would be empty.

This is the bonus round for hitting bigger payouts, as it triggers less frequently. By the time you hit it, you would most likely have hit the free spins at least 2 to 3 times.

The RTP is just above 96%, but not too high. As for the graphics and design, the game really does well considering it is nearly 10 years old. The sound effects, music, animation, etc. all hold up pretty well. For example, the neat way in which torpedoes fire up and join your arsenal or the menacing way in which the tentacles appear from behind the grid is just so satisfying.

The potential max win, bonus game value, and game features in general are not up to the mark when you compare them to other fantasy-based games from the same provider. Remember, we have 5-reel games now with cascading symbols – which was not really the norm back then.

The mobile experience is decent but let us not fool ourselves. It also does not hold up.
