With such rich storytelling, unique and engaging graphics, and a serious creative flair, you might think that this is a slot created by ELK Studios (a personal favourite developer of mine for said reasons), so knowing that it is actually another developer; Peter & Sons, has me pretty excited - and it is clear that their affiliation with Yggdrasil is working wonders, as this is, in my opinion, one of their best slots to date.
Statistically, the Ghost Father slot fits right in with the current meta, with its over-the-odds RTP of 96.3% and accessible medium volatility rating. The top payout of 10,000x your stake is at the top end of current non-jackpot slot machines too. The only statistical misnomer here is the below-average hit rate of 21.6%, leading to a winning combination every 5 spins or so, where many slots will keep this rate in the 3-4 spins range. Still, with such engaging and immersive graphics and design, I can see a lot of players not minding or noticing this slight deviation.
The symbols are well-designed and enhance the story, and have also been colour-coded to make them easy to distinguish. The base game payouts are good, but things definitely ramp up a notch during the free spins bonus round. While the maximum initial award of 12 free spins feels slightly stingy, when you consider the number of extra features crammed into the feature such as three boosters and the Ghost Rain feature, players will probably find themselves walking away with more spins than initially awarded.
It truly is hard to find many negatives surrounding the Ghost Father slot, with some nitpicking required to discover them.
