Gold of Persia’s visuals are simple, mostly static, and a little bit generic. The game is set in ancient Persia (known as Iran today) and is inspired by One Thousand and One Nights (given the presence of what looks like a magic lamp and the Sheherazade character).

The background features the domed rooftops of a city with a dark sepia tone, but fortunately the bright reels and symbols bring more colour to the game.
