King Kong Crash Climber Slot Review

King Kong Crash Climber is a bright slot game that reminds us of the arcade games of our youth. The graphics are fairly simple, and the tower that our monkey character will attempt to climb seems to be a skyscraper in a city full of trees and tall buildings, with a blue sky overhead. Kong himself is decked out in a helmet – a thoughtful addition, since of course scaling skyscrapers is a high-risk occupation.

He’ll use his strong arms to swing himself up the tower, and if he falls he’ll make use of a handy Mary Poppins-style umbrella to float back down to the ground.

You can choose which of the five visible segments on the tower you’d like him to climb to, or you can press the arrow to see him automatically jump to a pre-selected segment, highlighted in green.

There are no symbols to speak of in this game - just multipliers of between 1.5x and 1,000x your bet.

The King Kong Crash Climber slot game doesn’t have any bonus features to speak of. However, there is a Spin Chance feature that is triggered automatically if your credit is reduced below the current price of play, yet is still greater than zero. You’ll have the chance to wager your remaining credit for a chance to win an additional spin at the current bet. You can choose whether to play the Spin Chance game or not.

If the wheel stops in the green segment of the Spin Chance wheel, you win another spin the game. If it stops in the red section, you’ll lose your remaining credit and be returned to the base game.

King Kong Crash Climber is a straightforward game that is quite entertaining – for a little while, at least. The gameplay couldn’t be simpler, and just requires trying to climb a tower until you reach the top – or until the game randomly decides it’s time for the monkey to fall. Like other crash gambling games, the excitement is in potentially scaling the tower fairly quickly, but not knowing when you could lose your winnings.

You can decide to cash out and collect your winnings whenever you like during the climb; will you make it to the top, will you cash out beforehand, or will you lose it all?

The design of the game is very straightforward and cartoon-like, although it’s more detailed than some other crash gambling games, which essentially just look like a graph. It might be nice to have seen some more detailed graphics and perhaps even a few bonus features, but I don’t think that’s the type of game that Inspired Gaming are going for here.

All in all, King Kong Crash Climber is an extremely simple game that offers an opportunity to try something a little different, although it may get old fairly quickly.
