The Incan Empire is a less used slot theme than that of the Incas, so Play’n Go definitely earns some points for treading the path less travelled. In general, with historical and/or cultural slots I am not too keen when stereotypical characters are presented such as warriors and shamans. However, the Legacy of Inca slot keeps the visuals of these characters confined to a portrait, which helps reduce undertones of stereotyping and appropriation that slots with similar themes fall foul of.
As with all Play’n Go releases, the design is intuitive and the game is easy to play on all devices. The free spins bonus round is definitely the focal point of the game, but the top payout hit rate of one in a billion spins is ludicrous and laughable. Still, the 10p minimum stake per spin ensures lower-budget players can give the reels a spin, and the medium volatility keeps the game accessible to a broader audience.
