Robopocalypse Symbols and Audio & Video Design
Robopocalypse is set in the future, at a time when automated machines and robots are used to wage wars instead of humans. The background scene in the base game features a futuristic cityscape with huge buildings and glowing lights. But that changes during the Free Spins round, with some of those buildings on fire as war rages.
The main robot at the heart of the game, a massive purple-shelled warrior, appears as the Bonus symbol, and can show up to blast the reels with its powerful eye-beams, too. Electronic background music adds to the futuristic feel.
The symbols are colourful and detailed, though it would have been nice to see more than one massive robot on the reels. There are 14 symbols in total, including 10 standard symbols, a Wild, a Bonus, a Multiplier Gun, and a Wild Gun. The Battleship awards the highest prize of all the standard symbols, though that’s very low at just 4x your bet for 5.

Robopocalypse Bonus Features
The main bonus feature in Robopocalypse is the Free Spins round. However, the Multiplier Gun and Wild Gun symbols can help you get higher payouts, too. Let’s take a closer look at them below.
Wild Symbol
The Wild symbol can land on reels 2, 3, 4, and 5. It’s triggered by the Wild Gun symbol only.
The Wild substitutes for all symbols apart from the Bonus symbol and both Gun symbols.
Multiplier Gun
The Multiplier Gun symbol lands on reel 2 only and functions as a Wild. After the spin ends, the Gun cylinder spins to reveal one of several multipliers. Each section of the cylinder has a 2x or 3x multiplier, though the highlighted section has a 4x, 5x, 6x, or 10x multiplier instead.
The multiplier revealed applies to all wins on the current spin. Just one Multiplier Gun symbol can be on the reels at once.
Wild Gun
The Wild Gun symbol lands on reel 4 and works as a Wild. At the end of the reel spin, the Gun cylinder spins to reveal a number: 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5. The corresponding number of Wild symbols may be applied to reels 2, 3, 4, and 5.
Free Spins
The Bonus Scatter can appear on reel 3. When it does, it triggers the Free Spins feature and awards eight free spins. The Bonus is Wild during the feature.
When the triggering spin has a Bonus symbol only (no Gun symbols), it’s locked in place for the entire feature. But if a Bonus lands with one or both Gun symbols, it disappears for the whole round.
Any Gun symbols that appear stay in place until the feature ends. They can apply multipliers and Wilds as usual.
Buy Pass
You can use the Buy Pass option to trigger the Free spins feature with locked Gun symbols. It costs 89x, 96x, or 450x your bet depending on your chosen setup.
Robopocalypse Final Thoughts
Robopocalypse has a fun concept, but doesn’t fully deliver on its potential. It could have included multiple massive robots and more of a dynamic feel, but we only get glimpses of one. The features are decent, with a Free Spins round and the two Gun symbols, which can help boost the otherwise tiny standard payouts.
Still, Robopocalypse has a maximum prize of 7,680x your bet available, and the RTP is around average at 95.96%. All in all, it’s a pretty average slot with some interesting elements, but there are much better options out there.
