Lion and Panther Feature

Serengeti Kings starts in the Lion Spins section of the base game, which lasts for 12 spins. This is followed by the Panther Spins section, which also lasts for 12 spins. The counters on either side of the screen (Lion on the left, Panther on the right) shows how many spins remain in each section.

All Lion and Panther symbols that land are collected into the Lion and Panther counters while you play. On the 12th Lion Spin, no Lion symbols are collected, but the Lion feature starts. All Lion symbols you’ve collected are scattered randomly across the reels. The same happens in the Panther feature’s 12th spin.

If a Lion or Panther symbol is placed over the same symbol or a Wild, +1 is added to the symbol’s multiplier. But if a Panther symbol is placed on a Lion (or vice versa), that makes a Wild.

All bet lines have a multiplier that starts at x1, and all multipliers on winning symbols in a combination are added to the beginning multiplier. Any wins that occur on that bet line will be multiplied by the resulting multiplier.

Free Spins

Land 3 or more Scatters anywhere to win 12 free spins. If you trigger it with four Scatters, the Free Spins feature begins with the same number of Lion and Panther symbols already collected. But trigger it with five Scatters and you’ll get five symbols in both counters, too.

On the final free spin, all Lion and Panther symbols collected are placed randomly on the reels. Multipliers and Wilds work in the same way here as in the Lion and Panther features. Sadly, you can’t retrigger the Free Spins round.

You can jump directly into the Free Spins feature with this option, but for a price. You can either trigger it with three, four, or five Scatters, which determines whether or not you start with any extra Lion and Panther symbols.

Serengeti Kings might not look like the most original slot ever, but it includes some impressive touches. The Lion and Panther features are implemented well, and help to give the base game a more exciting structure than you might expect. The increasing multipliers can also take your winning potential higher, too.

The RTP is above average at 96.20%. The 4,000x maximum win is fine, especially with the medium-high volatility, but not particularly outstanding.
