Today at the Gambling Zone we have taken a look at the slot game known as ‘The Fun Hell’. It was created by Powderkeg Gaming in 2024. It is a very simple 3x3 slot machine with recognisable symbols and standard paylines. We will take you through every aspect of the game and give you our honest rating at the end of this ‘Fun Hell’ slot review. Without further ado, let’s get straight into it.
The Fun Hell is a very simple 3x3 slot with just nine paylines. It really is as simple as it gets really. There are just a few symbols to keep track of as well. We will take you through the symbols and pay table in more detail later on in this review.
You can form wins by matching three symbols across any of the three reels as long as the symbol is within one space from the last. As it’s only a 3x3 slot with 9 paylines you get to grip with what a winner looks like very quickly.
The RTP being at just over 96% means that you see wins a decent amount but the slot game is still quite volatile. The average for the slot world is 96% so The Fun Hell is pretty much in line with this.
You can earn a max win of 5000x your stake up to £100, meaning theoretically you could win half a million pounds from the Fun Hell, if you were to get extremely lucky.
You might be wondering where exactly you can play this game, well if you look here there is a list of online casinos that all offer the Fun Hell as well as exclusive sign-up bonuses. Check our trusted online slot sites here:
The theme of this slot is a fantasy world that is based on a depiction of ‘Hell’. When you think of the stereotypical vision of hell, it is a fiery, volcanic, uninhabitable place. This is essentially what you see here, with a dark-reddish cave in the background with a physical slot machine in the forefront.
The sounds you can hear are that of bubbling magma as well as a classic slot machine track plus sound effects each time you hit spin. The audio perfectly captures the juxtaposition of a ‘Fun Hell’ as the slot is aptly named. You have this uneasy sound with a fun carnival sound over the top. Its basic but very effective.
The graphics of this slot are incredibly basic. If someone told you it was created ten years ago you wouldn’t bat an eye. The simplicity is also true with the symbols. There are six regular symbols with four of them being versions of your classic ‘Bar’ symbol. The lowest paying symbol is a flaming cherry, with the highest payer being a ‘7’.
There is also a wild symbol which substitutes for all symbols except the bonus. It is a rectangle card with a day of the dead themed character on it and the word ‘wild’. There is then the bonus wheel symbol which is just a smaller version of the wheel with the word ‘wheel’ written on it.
There is nothing revolutionary when it comes to design.
Pay table from £1 stake:
The Fun Hell was created using HTML5 technology, meaning it is adaptable to any device. So if you are a mobile slots player then you can still access this game.
The gameplay on mobile is exactly the same as what you see on desktop. The games lower resolution graphics hold up well on the smaller screen size of a phone as well. I actually enjoyed my experience on mobile more than I did on desktop. But that is slowly becoming the case with most new releases.
There is just the one bonus feature on the Fun Hell and it can be accessed by landing a scatter symbol. The bonus is a wheel spin.
Here is how it works:
It’s a quite simple bonus feature and the only one the game has to offer.
Fun Hell is a very basic slot game that has an average RTP. For a 2024 release there is nothing unique or new about the game. There are thousands of other games that do what this game does in an arguably better way.
If you’re a fan of simplistic slots then this might be worth trying but if I’m honest - it’s a dated, boring slot and not really worth the time. 3/10
