If you’re familiar with Peter & Sons’ usual style, you might be surprised about The Legend of Musashi. Gone are the games developers’ signature square-headed characters (as seen in games like Robin Sherwood Marauders), and in their place on each side of the reels are two duelling characters that look like they could be from a classical painting. I’m not entirely sure why one of them has the head of a rabbit, but either way the game’s design is quite sophisticated and unique.

The Legend of Musashi is an original slot game with a delicate design that is not usually seen in online slots. It’s always interesting to learn about different cultures and historical characters, and I liked how the game inspired me to find out more about Musashi. The Monster Free Spins round and Super Free Spins were quite similar, and it might have been nice to see some bonus features that were more different to the base game. It’s slow progress attempting to fill up the progress bar, but I appreciated the addition of Power Mode, which felt like a small win and a bit more excitement at intervals while trying to progress towards Super Free Spins.
