The game's design draws on the 1980s cult movie classic The Lost Boys. The game is set in the fictional Californian town of Santa Carla, and the beachside funfair seen in the movie is used to establish the scene that the reels are set against. The vampire David, played by Keifer Sutherland, among other cinematic stars abound on the reels as symbols. The Lost Boys Final Thoughts
Despite being a huge fan of the 80s I have to admit The lost Boys is a movie I have not yet seen, but if its anything like 2006’s ‘The Covenant’ I think it will be a firm favourite! Speaking of firm favourites, I think The Lost Boys slot will definitely be popular with plenty of players. Of course, this slot is designed to appeal to fans of the movie, but I think it has more than enough great qualities that it can be enjoyed as simply a vampire-themed slot.
While the RTP of 95% is not the best and the hit rate of just 16.6% is punishing, considering all the features including a progressive jackpot, these discrepancies are of little concern. Though the paytable also seems low overall, with the top paying symbol worth just 100x, I think of this as similar to the low symbol values in Megaways games, as the reel modifiers and Cash Collect feature can make the potential wins and prize values stack up.
Normally a slot with so many bonus features would feel overwhelming, but they have been seamlessly integrated into play, overlapping and working with one another without players needing to do anything but click the spin button.
For these reasons I give The Lost Boys slot a fangtastic (sorry, it was irresistible) rating of 9/10.
