Symbol Upgrade Mode

This version also requires 3+ Scatters to trigger the free spins round. If you choose Symbol Upgrade Mode, every 4 coins collected upgrades one of the animal symbols (starting from the lowest) to the top-paying tiger for the rest of the bonus.

The upgrades are permanent and stackable, meaning you can convert the entire high-pay range into tigers with enough coins. Once all symbols are upgraded, coins no longer appear. This mode is ideal for players who want a cleaner paytable and better odds of hitting tiger-heavy wins—especially helpful in combo chains from cascading wins.

Multiplier Upgrade Mode

I have played enough jungle-themed slots to know when I am walking into familiar territory. Tiger Shrine does not roar as loud as some of Relax’s more eccentric titles, but it does have that steady, dependable quality that keeps you engaged.

I liked having the option to pick my bonus round—it gave the game some replayability and a sense of control. That said, none of the features felt particularly fresh.

The expanding reels? Solid, but we have seen it. Symbol upgrades? Pink Elephants déjà vu. Multiplier wilds? Been there.

Still, it is all well-polished, visually appealing, and chill enough to get into a groove without burning out your bankroll in five spins. I would not put it in Relax’s top tier, but I would not mind circling back now and then either.
