Ronaldinho Deal
Leading games supplier Booming Games has announced a partnership with iconic Brazilian footballer Ronaldinho. The deal will see the 2002 World Cup winner used in the company’s upcoming content, in a move that Booming Games described as a ‘landmark partnership’.
Ronaldinho is one of the most iconic footballers of the 21st century. The former Barcelona and AC Milan star was a key player in Brazil’s 2002 World Cup in South Korea and Japan, and also took home the highly coveted Balon d’Or prize in 2005.
Despite retiring over five years ago, Ronaldinho is still a household name, and this deal will no doubt prove to be a significant step forward for Booming Games. The company has confirmed it will be using his likeness in upcoming releases, but no further information has been provided regarding their nature or release date outside of the fact they will be in early 2024.
A Crucial Moment
The significance of this deal has not been lost on Booming Games. Max Niehusen, the company’s CEO, described the deal as a crucial moment for the supplier. He compared the deal, fittingly, to scoring a game-winning goal and said it was a strategic step that puts Booming Games in a league of its own. He also highlighted the brand visibility the deal will provide.
Frederik Niehusen, the company’s COO, also shared their excitement about the deal. He described the use of Ronaldinho’s image in their games as a ‘revolution in gaming’. Niehusen added that it heightens the excitement for players, with Ronaldinho being a global superstar.
Continued Expansion
Like many developers, Booming Games has highlighted Latin America as a key market, and signing a deal with a Brazilian megastar like Ronaldinho will certainly help the company make waves in the region.
The news also follows an announcement from last week that Booming Games has signed a partnership with 888 Casino that will allow the provider to enter the Spanish market.
With so many big deals and partnerships on the horizon, Booming Games is making itself known as a name to watch throughout 2024.
