Safety Solution Launch
A brand-new play safety solution for the online gambling industry is set to launch in London on September 11th at Prospero House.
The solution, GamProtect, hopes to add an extra level of online protection for players and will be workshopped in the English capital before going live.
Securely Sharing Information
GamProtect is a new scheme that allows operators to share information with one another about customers securely. The aim is to protect vulnerable customers who could at risk of gambling harm.
A workshop at Prospero House next Wednesday will showcase how the scheme works, with operators able to opt into the scheme. The workshop will demonstrate how the platform works, as well as allowing attendees to ask any questions they might have about its technical aspects or about customer data protection.
The Betting and Gaming Council (BGC) has facilitated the scheme, which includes several key operators. The UKGC, the Information Commissioner’s Office, and the Department for Culture, Media, and Sports, which oversee gambling in the UK, have also been involved.
All of these key players will be represented at the event, with operators invited to ask questions and engage with the scheme.
By The Industry, For The Industry
The GamProtect launch will put a real emphasis on the involvement of industry experts. It wants to promote involvement from all across the industry to help build a safer gambling landscape for UK-based players.
GamProtect Chairman Kane Purdy spoke with enthusiasm about the launch, talking about the hard work and collaboration that has gone into the launch of GamProtect. They said “GamProtect truly is designed by industry, for industry, and we believe what we say, it is the most advanced safety solution available to operators today.”
The event will be attended by several major speakers from the industry, as well as those who have been trialling GamProtect.
