Paddy Powers Signs New Sponsorship Deal

Paddy Powers Signs New Sponsorship Deal

A Three-Year Deal

Paddy Power will now sponsor the 2024 edition of the PDC World Darts Championship as part of a new three-year sponsorship deal. The Flutter Entertainment-owned bookmaker announced the new partnership in a press release earlier this week.

The new sponsorship will start with the 2024 edition of the tournament, which will be called the Paddy Power PDC World Darts Championship 2024. The last betting sponsor of the tournament was William Hill, with the company having sponsorship duties between 2020 and 2022.

Kazoo, the cars sale company, were the official sponsor of the 2023 edition of the championship. The company has scaled back its involvement with sports sponsorship, ending deals with The Hundred and Aston Villa. It was also replaced as the sponsor of the UK’s top flat racing classics, the Derby and the Oaks, by Betfred back in April.

This year’s PDC World Darts Championship tournament will be held between December 15th and January 1st at the Alexandra Palace in London. It is the biggest event in the dart’s calendar and will help to put plenty of eyes on Paddy Power’s products.

Paddy Power has confirmed it will be making significant investments in the tour. The company is famous for its witty use of social media and its quirky marketing videos. All of this will be on full display later in the year for the tournament. No financial information has been disclosed, but Paddy Power has said it intends to raise the tournament profile.

An Iconic Tournament

Paddy Power has expressed its excitement about the deal. The company’s marketing and brand director, Michelle Spillane, described the PDC World Darts Championship as the ultimate example of sports colliding with entertainment and said that this is something that the bookmaker was naturally drawn towards.

They described the event as iconic and said this sponsorship was hugely exciting for the brand. Spilanne finished by saying that Paddy Power can not wait to make its mark with this year’s event.

The PDC shared this excitement. The organisation’s chief executive Matt Porter said that they were delighted to welcome Paddy Power back to darts as the new sponsors of the World Darts Championship.

They said that the World Darts Championship is the biggest event in darts and that the involvement of Paddy Power will only add to the excitement of the tournament.
