The top casino and bookmaker, 10bet, has announced a new deal with the leading technology supplier, Playtech. This deal will see Playtech become the sole sportsbook supplier for all of its UK operations. The partnership will also be active in the Swedish markets.
This new partnership will help both companies expand their presence in both the UK and the Swedish markets. The UK market, in particular, is a huge area for 10bet, with the company reporting consistent growth in the country.
The Swedish market is currently undergoing major changes, so the deal with come at a good time for Playtech, providing them with a solid footing in the country. A law was passed in Sweden in November 2022 that software suppliers would need to gain a new license to operate in the country. This law comes into effect on July 1st of this year.
The company hopes an enhanced presence in the UK and Sweden can help them stimulate even more growth, with Q1 earnings for this year showing a 33% increase from the same period in 2022.
A Remarkable Partnership
Both parties have expressed their excitement at the completion of this deal. Shimon Akad, Playtech COO, has described the company as ‘delighted’ to have formed a partnership with Playtech. He said it would significantly help them increase their presence in two key markets.
He said that this was a huge moment for the company’s sportsbook products and that this was only the beginning of what he believes will be a hugely beneficial relationship.
Yuval Klein, speaking on behalf of 10bet, echoed these sentiments. They described partnering up with Playtech in the UK as remarkable. They added that the partnership will deliver a top-tier sports betting experience. Klein finished by saying that this is a win-win situation and that it will foster growth for both companies while also giving players a better experience.
A Busy Year For Playtech And 10bet
This is not the first partnership that both companies have sealed this year. Playtech agreed to a strategic partnership with Hard Rock Digital in March. This included the company buying a stake in the casino gaming and sports betting arm of Hard Rock International and Seminole Gaming.
