Leading online casino content provider Pragmatic Play has officially launched its sportsbook platform in the UK as part of a deal with Dazn Bet.
This is the second European market in which the company has launched its sportsbook following a successful launch in Spain earlier this year.
A Full Sports Betting Platform
Pragmatic Play is one of the most respected names in the online casino industry, with the company developing a wide range of online slots and live casino content. It has now shifted its attention towards sports betting, and has launched a full sports betting solution.
This deal with DAZN Bet UK will see the sports betting operator use Pragmatic Solutions’ player account management (PAM) platform to facilitate full integration with the Pragmatic Play sportsbook.
The Pragmatic Play betting platform will come with features that will benefit players, including player prop bets, bet-builders, pre-match analysis, and in-play data. It will also provide access to the company’s horse racing product.
A Competitive Market
The UK sports betting market is among the most competitive in the world, which is why it was such an ambition of Pragmatic Play to get a foothold there.
Speaking about the launch, Gareth Crook, SVP of Sports at Pragmatic Play, said that entering the market so early was an ambition for the company and said that he was proud to get the launch going so quickly after it had launched its horseracing product in the market.
Crook added, “The UK is arguably the most competitive and mature sports betting market of them all. Extending Pragmatic Play’s partnership with Dazn Bet into new territories and with new product launches strengthens our respective growth plans. So far, the early signs for our UK launch are highly positive.”
DAZN Bet is a reputable name within the market, with many sports betting fans using the company’s streaming platform to watch major events. Speaking about the launch, Daniel Berthold, Managing Director Germany, Austria, UK & New Markets at Dazn Bet, said that the company was excited about the launch and that this UK move would build on the strong foundations they had already set in other European markets.
