The Europa League takes centre stage on Thursday with 16 games down for decision across Europe to add to the pair being played on Wednesday.

The 36-team Europa League table will really begin to take shape after three rounds of games are completed and there are lots of interesting collisions in store, including Jose Mourinho coming face-to-face with former club Manchester United as his Fenerbahce side host the Red Devils.

Elsewhere, under-pressure Rangers manager Philippe Clement has a home game to look forward to while Ajax will aim to pile more misery on Qarabag.

It's a whopper Europa League offering on Thursday and that is where we are focused, pursuing the value bets on matchday three.

  • FENERBAHCE VS MANCHESTER UNITED DRAW
  • FCSB OR DRAW VS RANGERS
  • TOTTENHAM -1 VS AZ ALKMAAR
  • AJAX TO BEAT QARABAG
  • MIDTJYLLAND VS UNION SAINT GILLOISE UNDER 2.5 GOALS

Bet On The Europa League

Fenerbahce vs Manchester United

Mourinho faces a former employer as Man Utd go to Istanbul seeking a first Europa League win of the season.

The Red Devils were held at home by FC Twente in their opener and needed last-gasp Harry Maguire leveller to avoid defeat at Porto last time out.

Outside of thrashing Barnsley in the EFL Cup, Erik ten Hag's side have won three of 10 games in all competitions and they have drawn four of their last six, as wins remain elusive.

Fenerbahce's only domestic defeat this season came against league leaders Galatasaray and they've gathered up four points from six on offer so far in this competition, having only been denied Champions League qualification in extra-time by Lille in August.

They are good enough to ask major questions of United in front of a partisan home crowd and another stalemate involving the Red Devils is the value call.

DRAW

Rangers vs FCSB

Clement is a manager under increasing pressure as his Rangers side get ready to face FCSB - Steaua Bucharest in old money - in Glasgow.

The Light Blues were humbled 4-1 by Lyon here on matchday two and it is now two defeats in three following Sunday's listless loss at Kilmarnock in the league.

The natives are getting restless in Govan and the Belgian boss is going to have to get a major upturn in fortunes if he's to avoid the axe.

FCSB are on a nine-game unbeaten sequence, including back-to-back Europa League wins over Latvian side RFS and Greek outfit PAOK.

This is sure to be a tougher test, but confidence in the Gers camp looks to be fragile and they make little appeal as hefty favourites, so taking the FCSB-Draw double result looks a shrewd call.

FCSB TO WIN OR DRAW

Tottenham vs AZ Alkmaar

Ange Postecoglou might have been a little concerned when his Tottenham side fell behind against West Ham at the weekend, but they responded strongly to defeat the Hammers 4-1.

It means five wins in six games for Spurs, the only blip coming when they folded spectacularly against Brighton at the Amex Stadium having led 2-0 at the break.

Spurs are 2-2 in the Europa League and should be feeling confident about extending that winning sequence as they welcome an AZ Alkmaar outfit that has lost four games on the trot.

Four of Tottenham's last five wins have come by more than one goal and they should overcome a one-goal handicap against an out-of-sorts Eredivisie side.

TOTTENHAM -1 HANDICAP

Qarabag vs Ajax

Qarabag got to the last-16 in the Europa League last season, but successive defeats to Tottenham and Malmo suggest the Azerbaijani side will do well to repeat the feat.

They had more than 80 minutes against Spurs playing ten men but were still beaten 3-0, while they led early against Malmo but struggled to create chances and lost 2-1.

They have never beaten Dutch opposition in four attempts and may find Ajax tough to contain.

Francesco Farioli's side are now unbeaten in nine games after edging a seven-goal thriller at Heracles on Sunday.

They put four past Besiktas in their Europa League opener and despite leading 1-0 against Slavia Prague last time, probably felt a point was a good return after Youri Bass was sent off in the second half.

Since securing qualification for this group stage, Ajax have scored 20 goals in seven games, winning five of them and they can prove too strong.

Qarabag are playing their ninth continental game of the season and have only managed to beat Lincoln Red Imps inside the regulation 90 minutes so far, losing five of the last six.

AJAX TO WIN

FC Midtjylland vs Union Saint Gilloise

The MCH Arena in Herning may not be the best place to look for a Europa League goal-glut as FC Midtjylland host Union Saint Gilloise.

The Danes were 2-0 winners over Maccabi Tel Aviv on matchday two, but have endured successive Superliga losses against Brondby and Sonderjyske since.

Their previous home game in this competition was a 1-1 draw with Hoffenheim in which the German visitors scored in stoppage time.

Meanwhile, Union Saint Gilloise have played out three successive draws in competitive games, with two of those ending scoreless and just two goals scored in total.

Their Europa League draw with Bodo/Glimt last time yielded a paltry three shots on target combined.

The Belgian side sit 10th in their domestic league having scored only 11 goals in 11 games, while they also boast the joint-best defensive record with only eight conceded.

Midtjylland are once more likely to be without the attacking threats of Gue-Sung Cho and Edward Chilufya for this game and goals could be hard to come by.
