The cream of European football is spread far and wide this week with 18 fixtures in the fourth round of Europa League group-stage action.

Lazio, Tottenham and Anderlecht are the three clubs sitting prettiest of all with a maximum nine-point haul claimed from their first three matches.

Spurs have a tricky away trip to come at Galatasaray, Anderlecht will be wary of any slip-ups in Latvia against Riga, while Lazio welcome FC Porto to the Italian capital.

It's all about getting into position to qualify for the knockout rounds in the New Year so expect another tense and exciting week of competition.

Bet On The Europa League

Olympiacos vs Rangers

UEFA Conference League winners Olympiacos and Scottish powers Rangers are both on six points after three rounds, but the Greeks can put daylight between them this week.

The Greeks have recovered from losing to Lyon in their opener by winning 3-0 at home to Braga and 1-0 at Malmo and come into the game on the back of a hard-fought 2-1 success against Panserraikos in the Super League.

Rangers, already nine points adrift of co-leaders Celtic and Aberdeen in the Scottish Premier League, can focus all of their efforts on this trip and, having won 2-0 at Malmo and thumped FCSB 4-0 they will be positive. Their one defeat was also at the hands of Lyon.

Piraeus is a tough place to go - it's where Olympiacos beat Ferencvaros, Fenerbahce and Aston Villa en route to landing the Conference League title in May.

And Rangers' form has been mixed with boss Philippe Clement under a lot of pressure, eased slightly by their form in Europe.

OLYMPIACOS TO WIN

Bodo/Glimt vs Qarabag

Three straight losses have left Qarabag bottom of the 36-team table and wondering why they are making the 5,600-mile round trip to Bodo/Glimt in the Arctic Circle.

They head there short-handed as well, with both left-back Elvin Cafarquliyev and anchorman midfielder Julio Romao sent off in the 3-0 home loss to Ajax.

It looks like a thankless task for the Azeri side who are top of their league but who have now lost five straight European matches in the last few months, having also been knocked out of the Champions League by Dinamo Zagreb.

The Norwegians are strong, especially at home, where they have already beaten Crvena Zvezda and Porto in Europe this year.

They are also on seven points having drawn at home to Union Saint-Gilloise 0-0 and then won 2-1 at Braga to go alongside the Porto success.

BODO/GLIMT TO WIN

Viktoria Plzen vs Real Sociedad

Real Sociedad are struggling to score goals this season and Viktoria Plzen are proving impossible to beat, which adds up to the Czechs appearing to have a decent chance of avoiding defeat on home turf.

Plzen have played three games so far and, while the draws with Ludogorets and PAOK were probably the minimum they would have expected, the 3-3 draw at Eintracht Frankfurt was a classy effort, especially as they were two goals down going into the final 10 minutes.

Sociedad drew 1-1 at Nice and then lost 2-1 at home to Anderlecht before claiming a first win against Maccabi Tel Aviv in neutral Belgrade, holding on for a 2-1 triumph.

They still only had 12 shots in the match and have only scored ten goals in 12 games in La Liga.

That will be music to the ears of Viktoria, going well in the Czech top-flight in second place, and they can at the very least get another point on the board.

VIKTORIA PLZEN DRAW DOUBLE CHANCE

Galatasaray vs Tottenham Hotspur

Ange Postecoglou is in the privileged position with nine points on the board to be able to make a fair few changes in Istanbul against Galatasaray.

But whichever players get the nod from the Australian, they will still buy into the current outlook which is positive and successful.

And judging by Gala's three previous games this could turn into a goal-fest.

Okan Buruk's Super Lig leaders have taken seven points from three matches with a 3-1 win over PAOK and a 4-3 win over Elfsborg coming either side of a 2-2 draw in Riga.

They have had a week off after beating Besiktas 2-1 in one of the season's great grudge games in Turkey, so confidence will be high. They also know Spurs, because of the way the EPL side play, do cough up chances.

Either side could win this and the odds suggest it's a close call. What should be certain is that both teams score and there are over 2.5 goals.

BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE & OVER 2.5 GOALS

Hoffenheim vs Lyon

Hoffenheim's season took a turn for the worse at the weekend when they dropped into the relegation play-off place courtesy of a 2-0 home loss to St Pauli, who had started the game below them in the table.

That is three Bundesliga and Europa League games without a goal - they lost 2-0 in Porto in this competition last time out - and confidence is low.

They need to stop the bleeding at home to Lyon, though the French side are taken to land the odds.

Lyon are unbeaten in five away games, culminating in Friday night's 1-1 draw at Lille, a more than commendable result.

They have beaten Olympiacos and Rangers to move on to six points and their experience at this level should hold them in good stead.

LYON TO WIN
