The Premier League title race is heating up and main contenders Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester City are all in action on a bumper seven-match Saturday coupon.
Jurgen Klopp's Reds bounced back from their defeat to the Gunners with a 3-1 victory over Burnley last weekend and they'll bid to extend their lead when they visit Brentford in the 12:30pm kick-off.
Arsenal, meanwhile, head to Turf Moor to take on a Burnley team who are desperate for points in one of Saturday's five 3pm fixtures before Chelsea's televised trip to Manchester City rounds off the action.
We've analysed the 12:30pm and 3pm matches and picked out four bets to follow.
Recommended fourfold: Liverpool to win & over 2.5 goals v Brentford, Arsenal -1 goal handicap v Burnley, Fulham to beat Aston Villa, Newcastle to beat Bournemouth
- Liverpool to win & over 2.5 goals v Brentford
- Arsenal -1 goal handicap v Burnley
- Fulham to beat Aston Villa
- Newcastle to beat Bournemouth
Brentford vs Liverpool
The title odds might suggest something different but Liverpool remain the team to catch in the Premier League at present and the Merseyside club should maintain their place at the head of the standings with a win over Brentford.
The Reds' last trip to London saw them go down 3-1 to Arsenal and it's true that they haven't been quite as good on the road this term. However, Liverpool had still won four league away games on the bounce prior to their Emirates defeat and it's no surprise to see them priced up as strong favourites to beat Brentford.
The Bees earned a fine 2-0 win at Wolves last weekend to pull away from relegation trouble but they had previously lost seven of eight Premier League matches, including home defeats to Aston Villa, Wolves in the reverse fixture and Manchester City.
Liverpool, meanwhile, could be boosted by the return of Mohamed Salah for the first time since New Year's Day, and the presence of the Egyptian could inspire them to a high-scoring win in west London.
Brentford have scored in eight of their last nine home matches so Liverpool to win and over 2.5 match goals could be the best way to profit.
LIVERPOOL TO WIN & OVER 2.5 GOALS
Burnley vs Arsenal
A pre and post-Christmas wobble saw Arsenal surrender ground to Liverpool in the title race but the Gunners have roared back emphatically in recent weeks, claiming four straight wins to move within striking distance of top spot.
Arsenal hammered Crystal Palace 5-0, saw off Nottingham Forest 2-1 in a game they dominated, beat Liverpool 3-1 at the Emirates then saved their most goal-laden performance for last week when putting West Ham to the sword in a 6-0 win at the London Stadium.
Confidence is soaring again in the Gunners' camp but the same can't be said for Burnley, who are winless in six Premier League matches and seemingly staring an immediate return to the Championship in the face.
Vincent Kompany's men are struggling both at home and away and have been exposed when the top teams have come to Turf Moor with City, Aston Villa, Tottenham and Liverpool all winning by at least two goals on the Clarets' home patch this season.
There has been no element of good fortune about the Gunners' recent successes - they won the shot-on-target count 12-1 against West Ham and have recorded an expected-goals figure in excess of 3.5 in their last two matches.
With that in mind, the visitors can be expected to rack up a score and they make plenty of appeal giving up one goal on the match handicap.
Fulham vs Aston Villa
While Aston Villa have earned plenty of plaudits in a season which has them challenging for a top-four finish, they have started to regress in recent matches and that could spell trouble when they visit Fulham.
The Villans dropped out of the top four when Tottenham beat Brighton last weekend before a 2-1 loss at Manchester United condemned them to a second Premier League loss in three games and a third in four in all competitions.
Villa were perhaps unfortunate to lose out to the Red Devils, but their only league win this year came against struggling Sheffield United and Fulham are likely to present a sterner test at Craven Cottage.
Marco Silva's 12th-placed Cottagers would have to falter significantly if they're to be pulled into a relegation scrap, which doesn't look likely when taking into account their home form which has helped them compile seven victories on their own patch.
Fulham produced a 3-1 home win over Bournemouth last weekend and, with Villa beginning to falter, this looks a good opportunity for the hosts to claim a big scalp.
Newcastle vs Bournemouth
Newcastle's December injury crisis has left them well off the pace in the battle for the top four but the Magpies will still be eyeing a Europa League spot next season and can further their hopes with a win over Bournemouth.
Eddie Howe's men lost six of seven matches between December 7th and January 13th but they've started to find their feet, securing seven points from meetings with Aston Villa, Luton and Nottingham Forest just as the pressure was beginning to ramp up on their manager.
They haven't won at home in almost two months but their St James' Park record, both this season and last, has been excellent as they've chalked up 19 wins from 31 matches on home turf since the beginning of the 2022/23 campaign.
Bournemouth, meanwhile, have gone the opposite way to their hosts. The Cherries went on a magnificent run from mid-November onwards but have claimed just two points from their last five league games.
Howe's former club were not quite outplayed by Fulham last week, but they failed to make the most of their opportunities and a similar performance is unlikely to cut it on Tyneside, where Newcastle look a solid bet to claim three points.
