Cunha Absence A Big Blow For Wolves

Pereira has had an immediate effect at Wolves and the Molineux outfit look strong candidates to avoid relegation, but it would not be a surprise if they suffered their first defeat under his guidance at home to Nottingham Forest.

Wolves have beaten Leicester and Manchester United and drawn with Tottenham in Pereira’s three games at the helm, but those are three teams who are down on their luck and the mood at Forest could not be more contrasting.

The Garibaldis have won their last five matches, including their last three on the road against Manchester United, Brentford and Everton, and their high confidence could see them home as they visit manager Nuno Espirito Santo’s former club.

Forest are the only team to have beaten leaders Liverpool this season and the home side are hit by the ban enforced on top goalscorer Matheus Cunha following a fracas at the end of their recent home defeat to Ipswich.

Forest have won six away games this season and look well placed to boost that tally.

Wood Poses Goal Threat For The Visitors

A significant part of Forest’s success this season has been the quality with which Chris Wood has led the line, and there looks a strong chance he can add to his tally of 11 goals.

The New Zealander was on target again in Sunday’s 2-0 success at Everton and he had three efforts on goal in that game as well as in the prior away match when Nuno’s side won by the same scoreline at Brentford.

Wolves found the Kiwi difficult to cope with in August’s reverse fixture when he scored Forest’s goal in the 1-1 draw at the City Ground.

Wood had five goal attempts that day, three of which were on target and he can produce another dominant performance.

Yates Should Be Heavily Involved

Forest midfielder Ryan Yates was forced to sit out their win at Goodison Park after accumulating five bookings and the 27-year-old can be expected to be at the heart of the action upon his return.

He has committed 33 fouls in 13 league starts for the Tricky Trees this term and has been keeping referees busy, particularly in his recent appearances away from the City Ground.

He committed three fouls when Forest came out on top at Brentford and he was right in the thick of things in their previous away game at Manchester United, when he was pulled up for six indiscretions, so the wait for a sixth caution may not be long.
